Cherish sports clubs!

Cherish sports clubs!
What many already knew is now scientifically substantiated. Every euro subsidy invested in sports clubs yields society an average of ten euros. The National Impact Research on Sports Clubs, conducted by RVVB, Social Handprint by MAEX and Impct Agency on behalf of Grote Clubactie, confirms that investing in sports clubs pays off significantly. The newspaper Trouw highlighted the research (see link in the comments).
A selection of insights from the research:
⚽ 80% of the impact comes simply from the sport itself, so the core task is the biggest source of strength.
Volunteers are the driving force: they contribute about 90% of all efforts within associations.
🏀 Sports clubs are social hubs in neighborhoods: they connect people, reduce loneliness, and strengthen participation.
🥊 The impact goes far beyond sports: from (mental) health and prevention to poverty alleviation and personal development.
💚 Vulnerable groups are actively reached: 2/3 of the surveyed associations offer specific services for these groups.

It is not without reason that we dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly every day to vital, safe, and future-proof associations in Rotterdam. Strong associations form the social fabric of the city and are indispensable for a strong, resilient society. By supporting volunteers on topics such as finances, safe sports climate, organization, social entrepreneurship, etc., we ensure that associations are not only sustainable for the future and can continue to offer their sports activities, but also fulfill their important societal role.
➡️ Investing in sports clubs is investing in the social foundation of Rotterdam. Rotterdam Sportsupport is ready to work together with the municipality and partners in the city to build vital, safe, and future-proof sports clubs. This way we ensure that sports clubs can continue to fulfill their crucial role!
