When was the last time you truly looked your child in the eyes, without haste, without distraction, without already being in your head at your next appointment?
I recently had such a moment of insight.
Not grand or spiritual with smoke and mirrors. Just... painfully clear.
𝗜 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. For my mother. My father. The people I love dearly.
And no, that time will not come back.
Unless you can repeat it.
But what if that is no longer possible?
Why do we work ourselves to the bone?
For whom are we actually doing this?
What is more important: your ambitions or the ones who will be by your bedside when it gets quiet?
We live in a world where everything has to be faster.
Think faster. Decide faster. Live faster.
But our brain is not a machine.
And our soul is not at all.
An overstimulated brain makes wrong choices.
It chooses out of routine. Out of fear. Out of “should”.
And in the meantime, life slips away. Not with a bang, but with thousands of small distractions every day.
Time is not a possession.
Time is sacred.
And the only moment we truly have is 𝗻𝗼𝘄.
