A winner never gives up and a quitter never wins!

His name is Paul van Tatenhove. He is 48 years old, born in Geldrop, raised in Eindhoven, happily married to Tanja, and a proud father of Sem and Linn.

In daily life, he is active in the Royal Army of Defense, and in addition, he mentors young talents within the youth training program of PSV.

Why this initiative? In August 2021, he was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma cancer with metastases. His motto became: “Never again with the elevator.” In other words: always choose the difficult path, step by step up.

Together with his physiotherapists and the support of his family, he has worked very hard on his physical and mental recovery.

What began as a personal challenge grew into a larger goal: Following the example of his colleague and friend Thijs Slegers at PSV to raise awareness for stem cell donation through Matchis.

My goal is to raise €100,000 for Matchis by asking everyone for one euro. Donate €1 and help save lives. Share my story, encourage others, and show that together we can truly make a difference. Unity is strength! For Thijs.
