A quote that changed my perspective

Recently, I watched the movie John Wick. You wouldn't immediately think of it as a spiritual classic.

But then John’s opponent said something that stuck with me:
"How you do anything is how you do everything."

Boom.
This sentence crept under my skin.
And it hasn’t left since.

Because how many times do we settle for "quickly," "about good," or "it’ll do"?
But that attitude seeps through. To our work. Our relationships. Our health. Our dreams.

If you cut corners in little things, that’s probably how you’ll handle the big things too. And that affects your self-image and your results.

But the reverse is also true.
If you step into something with attention, integrity, and dedication—even if it’s just how you make your bed or how you respond to a message—then you’re nurturing an identity of strength. Of completion. Of presence.

That’s what this quote taught me:
"Discipline isn’t in the big, but just in the small."
And who you are in those little moments, that’s who you are. Period.
