As the Founding President of World Boxing, I had the opportunity to attend the finals of the 77th Strandja Trophy Tournament in Sofia. 

I was kindly invited to this prestigious competition by Krasimir Ininski, President of the Bulgarian Boxing Federation.

This year, an impressive local venue hosted teams from 31 countries across five continents, including the inaugural World Boxing Championships gold medalists as well as other decorated boxers. For me, it was a privilege to present medals to the medalists, including in the elite men’s 60kg category, where Bulgaria’s Radoslav Rosenov defeated Brazil’s World silver finisher Luiz Gabriel Oliveira in a thrilling final contest.

My congratulations to all the medalists on an excellent competition, and once again my gratitude to the President of the Bulgarian Boxing Federation, Krasimir Ininski and SG Milena Videnova, for a very warm welcome to Bulgaria and for your great leadership in developing our beloved sport in Europe and worldwide!
