Saturday I attended Boxing Gladiators III

Yesterday, I attended Boxing Gladiators III, together with President Len Huard of the Dutch Boxing Federation, among others. I am proud of and have the deepest respect for my boxing friends Angelo Rosalia and Rob van de Watering.

They put themselves on the line to provide Dutch professional boxers with a fantastic stage and they succeeded: a sold-out Rotterdam Topsportcentrum with 2,000 enthusiastic spectators, impressive video screens and the brilliant Ray Martin as ring announcer. An event like this is only possible thanks to the dedication of many people. Fifty volunteers contributed, including my daughter Teddy, while many others worked behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. Particularly before the interval, I saw several exciting and entertaining bouts.

It was also great to see the highly talented Vargas and Holzken back in action. A wonderful evening for Dutch professional boxing. Congratulations to Angelo, Rob and everyone who made Boxing Gladiators III possible!
