there was for the first time a seagoing vessel, the M/V Bregaglia, with ArcelorMittal Belgium in Ghent as its destination. With the departure of the 240-metre-long 

and 38-metre-wide sea-going vessel towards ArcelorMittal, the New Lock was officially put into use. 

➡️ This official ceremony underlines this important milestone for the economic development in the Netherlands, Belgium, Flanders and the companies in our port area North Sea Port.
➡️ The opening of the New Lock in Terneuzen is not the end of the road. It is the beginning of the further economic development of and more employment in the cross-border 

port area of North Sea Port: from Vlissingen, via Terneuzen to Ghent.
