Early life and education
Born in the Netherlands, van Nederveen attended Dutch and later German Waldorf schools, which instilled in him an openness to creativity and alternative perspectives. He briefly studied in Nairobi, Kenya, before returning to Europe, where he pursued studies in building engineering and paint chemistry/techniques. This diverse educational background laid the groundwork for his wide-ranging interests and future endeavors. At just 22 years old, van Nederveen became the captain of a large two-mast motor sailor, embarking on voyages that took him around the world. Years at sea not only built his confidence but also introduced him to influential figures, including director Brian De Palma, whom he met in Phuket during the filming of Casualties of War (1987/88). Impressed, De Palma hired him and his crew as extras and encouraged him to explore a career in Hollywood. Following that advice, van Nederveen moved to Los Angeles a few years later, where he quickly found work as a stuntman, body double, and actor in various film productions. His Hollywood years gave him a unique perspective on the entertainment industry and opened doors to new insights into health, performance, and supplementation.

During his time in Hollywood, van Nederveen developed a growing interest in health science and supplementation, spurred by conversations with doctors, researchers, and even Arnold Schwarzenegger. His exploration into the role of amino acids and Nitric Oxide eventually led, together with organic chemist Dr. Arne van der Gen (PhD), to the creation of Amino Alliance.
