Care is for people. Not for fraudsters!!

Healthcare fraud affects us all. It's not just about money ending up in the wrong place. It's about trust in our healthcare, about vulnerable people who depend on good care, and about healthcare professionals who perform their jobs with integrity every day. That's why we will intensify the approach to tackling healthcare fraud.

Today, I can confidently announce that I have found commitment in this with Jan Struijs, parliamentary leader of 50 PLUS and member of the House of Representatives. He has also worked for 33 years at the Police and is a former chairman of the Dutch Police Union. We want to contribute to an approach that goes beyond mere signaling.

Facts over suspicions. Investigate where necessary. Take action where possible. Public money deserves protection. And the people who depend on care deserve it even more. Because those who abuse care funds undermine not only a system.

This affects society. It's time to tackle healthcare fraud more rigorously and intelligently.
