Silence is growth...
Sometimes silence asks nothing of you. Only that you are present... that is where growth lies.
It was quiet here for a moment.
Not because nothing happened, but because some moments want to be lived first before you can share them.
Looking back, I see not isolated events, but a common thread.
A garden that slowly transformed into the place where a new family story was written during the wedding of my son Rowdy and beautiful daughter-in-law Kim. A memory rooted in love, history, and a new generation.
A new international CLOCK project in which I can once again contribute as a Sector Expert to empowering women in the creative industry. This time in Uganda. Yet another encounter with the power of talent, development, and what becomes possible when people are truly seen.
Meanwhile, “One Day Getaway” is taking shape more and more. It’s not a large program, but a small-scale pilot in my own beautiful garden where women can slow down, meet, and create for a day. Kim Merema’s Blauwprint methodology helps in a creative way to gain insight into who you are and where your natural strength lies. Art, nature, and conversation then give their own meaning to it.
Maybe that's what I'm discovering more and more myself.
Creating for me does not start with making.
It starts with seeing.
See what is already present. In people. In a place. In a story. And give space to it with attention.
When I look back at the path that entrepreneurship has taken me on, I see not only projects, collaborations, or new opportunities. I primarily see a journey back to myself. To a way of living where art, learning, nature, encounters, and personal development are not separate worlds, but naturally reinforce each other.
Perhaps that is my reason for existence.
Not to always create something new.
But to create space where something new can emerge.
And just for that reason, the silence of the past weeks did not feel like absence.
But as growth.
And right there... something new is taking shape.
When I look back, I mainly feel gratitude.
For the people who cross my path. For the places that gain meaning. For the trust that I have come closer to myself along the way.
Perhaps that is the greatest creation of all.
Not what I make.
But the space that arises when people dare to meet themselves again.

Onward to everything that is yet to come into being.
