During the Cybersec Netherlands event at the Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs, I had the opportunity to personally share why protecting the digital sovereignty of the Netherlands and the EU is so important.

My commitment to DigiD touches on a much broader European issue, in which eIDAS also plays an important role. It is about ensuring that Dutch citizens and everyone living in the Netherlands can feel digitally protected and sovereign. And not just for DigiD, but also for MijnOverheid and other major government services like the National Police. I have received an incredible amount of valuable national and international input. I also had the privilege of attending a fair and a conference that held great value. The day was opened by Minister Van Weel, and it was an honor to close the day.
