The difference between implicit and explicit entrepreneurship:

This Sunday evening, I am posting my latest blog that discusses implicit and explicit entrepreneurship and the difference between the two. I mention this now because I am currently developing #analyses of organizations, where I often find that there is much that is not visible but still happens—the implicit part of entrepreneurship. It is typically a difference between implicit and explicit, as the explicit world is often shown!

Forgetting something, not finding it meaningful to share, or simply not being in your system. That is of course possible and permissible. But it is precisely on the implicit side of your organization that often the most happens. There, where you are developing, where you are experimenting, where you are still searching and the end result is not yet defined, there you have your story to tell, there you can cultivate #credibility.

It is the phase in which you are not yet showing the perfect picture, but are building what will eventually become visible.

And that is precisely the part of entrepreneurship that we share too little.

For that process, those steps, unexpected insights, and of course doubts ultimately make the story #pure. Especially towards your fans, customers, or guests whom you can take along in what is happening and what is coming. What you are building.

In my own journey, I ultimately did this consciously: making the implicit part of entrepreneurship visible. Just in a second moment. Only when I realized that I should have actually done this from the beginning. That I should have captured visual material, conducted interviews, and also documented failures. Only when the audience asked me how I experienced that journey and how I came to new insights. Because that is really very educational, especially for others.
