Dress Red Day is the 15th year of the Heart Foundation's day where we collectively raise awareness about heart and vascular diseases in women.
Today, Monday, September 29, 2025. The Netherlands is turning red. Dress Red Day has been for 15 years the day of the Heart Foundation when we collectively call attention to heart and vascular diseases in women. Every day, 53 women die from heart or vascular diseases. Heart and vascular diseases are still too often overlooked in women, and symptoms are not always recognized. Unfortunately, we still cannot always effectively detect and treat heart problems that occur more frequently in women. This needs to change. And that’s why we call on everyone in the Netherlands: Let your heart speak and wear red on September 29. For your family, friends, colleagues – or for yourself. We warmly invite you to participate as well. Wear red and share a photo or message on your social media channels with the hashtags #DressRedDay and #hartvoorvrouwen. This way you help us increase the visibility of this important topic and show that you also care about women's hearts. Don’t forget to tag the Heart Foundation! @hartstichting
Join us and support research into women’s hearts!
