AI promises to make healthcare more personalized.

AI promises to make care more personal.
But if algorithms are trained on data in which women are underrepresented, there is a risk that we will digitalize old blind spots.
That is why we at HeartLife are building women's data. I am also very pleased that two talented young researchers will dedicate themselves to this topic in the coming period: Lidewij Hollestelle, master's student in Medical Engineering at TU Delft, and Britta Funk, bachelor's student in Biomedical Technology at Hogeschool van Amsterdam.
Together, they will investigate how we can further improve cardiovascular care for women with data, technology, and science.
The future of medicine does not lie in larger datasets. The future lies in understanding differences.
