The Netherlands would like to work together with other countries internationally and in Europe to:
➡️ Strengthen the European economy.
➡️ Maintain the competitiveness of our industry.
➡️ Have more security and fewer dependencies.
➡️ And develop innovative technology here instead of elsewhere.
These were the topics yesterday at the G7 🇺🇸🇩🇪🇫🇷🇬🇧🇨🇦🇯🇵🇮🇹 in Rome, where I was invited to speak as a visiting minister. For example,
I spoke about industrial policy for the semiconductor sector, how to deal with critical raw materials and products, and the opportunities of digital technology such as AI.

In short: things in which we as the Netherlands are currently strong or where we are at risk of lagging behind. It is good that the G7 countries, in cooperation with non-G7 countries,
are jointly addressing these important issues. After all, this can contribute to our future prosperity and participation in the G7 offers the opportunity to make direct agreements
about this with my international colleague ministers, such as the American Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.
