I’m thrilled to announce that last night at the #WorldSustainabilityAwards2024 Unilever was awarded the Sustainable Supply Chain Award for our work on maintaining a deforestation-free and traceable supply chain across our key crops.
By the end of 2023, 97.5% of our palm oil, paper and board, tea, soy, and cocoa order volumes were independently verified as deforestation-free - a huge achievement.
We’re very proud of the impact we’ve managed to achieve, and the change we’re driving across the industry. As we move forward, we seek to sustain and increase the impact
of our deforestation free commitment for our key crops.
This award recognises the huge efforts of our sustainable sourcing and procurement teams on implementing these industry leading levels of deforestation-free sourcing.
