The first international event organized under the new governing body European Boxing, affiliated with WORLD BOXING, successfully concluded!
Yesterday, in Belgium, the first international event organized under the new governing body European Boxing, affiliated with WORLD BOXING, successfully concluded: the Brussels Capital Tournament.
I was pleased to attend the finals and witness exceptional performances from boxers representing multiple continents, as well as to experience the excellent organization and the remarkable atmosphere of sportsmanship and support.
It was also great to welcome Irish Athletic Boxing Association President Anto Donnelly as a guest, with chairman of IABA Board of Directors, Niall O’Carroll.
I extend my sincere congratulations to all champions, medalists, and participants. Your achievements clearly demonstrate that boxing in Europe is progressing in the right direction.
I’m confident that, under the guidance of European Boxing, our sport in the region will continue to develop and reach new heights.
