Honored to attend an outstanding international boxing event this week: the Youth World Boxing Cup – the 35th Adriatic Pearl in Budva, the boxing capital of Montenegro.
As Founding President of World Boxing, it was a great privilege to witness some of the world’s most promising young talent in action. My sincere thanks to Alexander Klemenko, President of the Montenegro Boxing Federation, for the kind invitation to this beautiful city and for the warm hospitality.

This year’s event brought together teams from 19 countries, including strong U19 squads from Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Cuba, creating a truly high-level international competition. I had the honor of presenting medals to the athletes, including the men’s 75kg final where Ukraine’s Tymur Karaivan delivered a strong performance to defeat Cuba’s Raul Daniel Castillo in a highly competitive bout.
Congratulations to all medalists and participants for an excellent tournament. My appreciation goes to the Montenegro Boxing Federation, the staff and volunteers, and to President Klemenko for the outstanding organization, a fantastic venue, and for providing a world-class platform for the next generation of boxing talent.
Together we continue to build the future of our beloved sport.
