For years I understood that sentence only on an intellectual level. You read it in books, you hear mentors say it, and it makes perfect sense: surround yourself with people who live the life you envision for yourself.
But for a long time I didn’t feel it. It was more of an “oh yes, of course, that’s what successful people do” type of insight.
Then something shifted.
As my own standards went up - the quality of my products, my services, my thinking - I naturally began attracting higher-caliber people. But it was not until the last one or two years, I started doing something different: I stopped waiting for the right people to appear and began actively seeking out the next level.
Reaching out. Initiating. Putting myself in rooms, dinners, and conversations that demand more from me.
Yes, it costs energy, time, and often money. But these have been the highest-ROI investments of my life. Because the compounding effect of what these people activate in you is immeasurable.
Looking back, most of it feels almost free because the enrichment to my life has been that significant.
This night in the photo was another one of those moments. A special evening where Alexandre Laizet of Capital B shared his vision on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Treasury Companies at our Bitcoin Economics Unseen (Premium) dinner.
Pure magic. Next-level insights. Exactly the type of environment where you feel yourself expanding in real time.
And tomorrow, the podcast we recorded afterwards (my first full English episode for The Marc My Words Show btw) goes live. Because we didn’t want to keep all the alpha we created together behind closed doors. You should benefit from it too.
